When you get to know Lisbon, you will notice that it is a city of legends and mysteries... It is said that Lisbon began to rise thousands of years ago, when Ulysses, the mythical hero of Homer's Odyssey , arrived by ship at a immense plain inhabited only by the goddess who fell in love with the traveller. When Odysseus left, the goddess ran out to sea in serpent form to find her love. When he couldn't find it, he died of grief and turned to stone, thus forming the Seven Hills of Lisbon . Lisbon is a journey through history about love, saints and churches.

Chiado

The Chiado area is, nowadays, a large commercial area as well as all kinds of street entertainment. Here you can find hotels, theatres, libraries, museums, restaurants and the place where famous Portuguese people meet.

Carmo Convent

This Gothic monument, or what remains of it, was founded by Nuno Alvares Pereira, the commander who became a member of the Carmelite Order. Construction was completed in 1423 and is, to this day, the largest church in Lisbon.

Rossio Station

Built in 1886/87, the station was recently renovated: look at the ceiling and be dazzled. From the station platforms, which are about 30 meters above the main entrance, trains depart for the charming region of Sintra.
