The spectacular view over the city, the interior charm and its excellent location enchanted Balthazar Roiz Castanheiro, founder of the famous [**Confeitaria Nacional**](https://www.casabalthazarlisbon.com/en/confeitaria-nacional.html), who acquired the property in August 1882. Since then, and for five generations, this "treasure" has belonged to to the family and is strictly esteemed.
